No the PX5 is not a new AB workout series. Apparently this new headset by Turtle Beach is the first ever to have dual radios. What this means is that for PS3 chat usage it has a bluetooth radio built in. The other RF radio is used for general RF sound data communications for game audio on both Xbox 360 and PS3 systems.
Another promising feature is the three different types of sound presets on the PX5: Game, Chat, and Microphone. They say users will be able to load presets that work better for different uses. They give the example of having presets for hearing footsteps better in FPS games, or Mic presets for being heard better during late night gaming where you may not want to talk as loud.
No release date has been announced for the PX5 Wireless Headset yet but they do say it will be released Spring 2011 for $249.95 and that it will be at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas from January 6-9, 2011. Hopefully one of the gadget blogs will be able to try it out and give us some early impressions.
